Meet Bear! He is currently about 8 weeks old, and we think he may be a Plott Hound mix, but with rescue its always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place.

Bear is the classic joyful puppy we love his playful personality and enthusiasm! Both Bear and his sister Stormy are currently fostered with a wonderful family that has taken care of them since they were tiny newborns (which involved bottle- and mush-feeding them because of their size at the time). They have a larger 2-year-old foster sibling dog that tolerates their puppy antics with grace. (The foster also has an older dachshund that just ignores the puppies, lol.) Bear often takes a backseat to his sister Stormy in investigating, but he is always up for playing with his foster dog siblings and snuggles inside with you.
Like his sister, Bear is a gorgeous brown and tan brindle, with a small white patch at his chest and the tiniest white pedicure his markings have to be seen in person to truly appreciate them. In the natural sunlight, his colouring truly shines! Bear loves to be outdoors, and is progressing well on potty-training. We predict that Bear will be a fantastic walking and hiking partner, up for any outdoor adventure with you by his side!
Bear is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, he will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood.

Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport.
Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you!
The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship!
*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.
