VAn EXt a a a A The Columbian-Progress Thursday, February 13, 1986 Obituaries Nello Magee Molet Funeral services were conducted Jan. 28 for Sis. Nello Magee Molet at the Christian Union M.B. Church in Sumrall. Rev.

M.L. Patton officiated the ceremony while Smith Funeral Home was in charge. Sis. Molet was born Nov. 13, 1913 in Lamar County to the late Charlie and Alice Magee.

She was married to the late Pezell Molet and to that union three children were born. Survivors include one daughter-Mrs. Carrie Johnson of Freeport, NY; two sons-Jessie Molet of Hempstead, NY and Hubert Molet of Roosevelt, NY: one sister-Sis. Pearlie Expose of Sumrall; one brother-Owen Magee of Sumrall; two sisters and four brothers preceded her in death. Other survivors are one auntSis.

Lonnie Magee; ten grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. Pallbearers were Jessie Magee, Ray Magee, J.C. Magee, Fredrick Magee, Ronald Lott and Clifford Magee. Lee Anna Smiley Services for Ms. Lee Anna Smiley, 69, were conducted Sunday, Feb.

2 at the Little Rock M.B. Church in Foxworth. Smith Funeral Home was in charge of the services with Rev. B.A. Goff officiating.

Burial was held in the church cemetery. Ms. Smiley was born March 16, 1916 in Marion County. She is survived by two daughters-Mrs. Clarice Husband of New Orleans, and Ms.

Cynthia Alexander of Foxworth; two sons-Columbus Smiley and Cleophus Smiley of New Orleans; five sisters-Mrs Vera Billy, Mrs. Mae Ola Coleman and Mrs. Helen Husband of New Orleans; Mrs. Eloise Ephriam of Baldwin Park, CA and Mrs. Jessie Lee Johnson of Foxworth; two Smiley of New Orleans and, W.C.

Smiley of Foxworth. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, one daughter-inlaw-Mrs. Betty McGowan Smiley; one son-in-law-Delarris Husband and many nieces, nephews, two aunts, and numerous friends. Pallbearers were her grandsons-Dwayne Smiley; Orlando Smiley and Cleophus Smiley and nephews-Chester Johnson, Joe Edward McGowan, Charles Lampton and Raymond Billy. Sarah Alexander Funeral services for Mrs.

Sarah Alexander were held Wednesday, Feb. 5, at the Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Hosea Cook, officiated the ceremony with Cook-Galloway funeral home in charge of burial services. Interment was held as the Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Alexander was born Oct. 30, 1888 in Marion County and was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie Alexander; one daughter; and all her brothers and sisters. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs.

Mary Abram; four grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; nine greatgreat grandchildren; one sisterin-law; many nieces, nephews; and numerous relatives and friends. Lula V. Baylis Services were held for Mrs. Lula Viola Thames Baylis Saturday, Feb. 8, at the St.

Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was at the 'Hub Community Cemetery where Cook-Galloway Funeral Home was in charge of the burial service. Rev. O.D. Alford officiated the ceremony.

Mrs. Baylis was Born Feb. 27, 1897 in Simpson County and was married to the late Floyd Baylis, Survivors of her death are one son-James Clifton Baylis of Columbia; a stepdaughter-Ada Johnson of Columbia; a stepsonJohn Baylis of St. Louis, MO; nine grandchildren-Peggy Pittman, Louise Daniels, Linda Rhem, La Sha Viola Baylis, all of Columbia; Ellis G. Baylis, Edward L.

Baylis, and Floyd W. Baylis, all of Milwaukee, WS and Evelyn Morgan and Wanda Newson of Hartford, CN. She is also survived by 12 stepgrandchildren including Angela Lee Wright and Patrick L. Wright of Columbia; Rev. Floyd Lee Frelix of Monticello; Christine Doby of Picayune; Bessie R.

Robinson of Riveria Beach, FL; 14 greatgrandchildren; 31 grandchildren; seven greatgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great grandchild; eight nephews; seven nieces; and numerous other relatives and many friends. Gordon Ray Stampley Services were held for Gordon Ray Stampley, 49, at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Sunday at 2 p.m. Bro. Bob Lowery officiated the ceremony with interment following at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Stampley was survived by his wife-Hilda G.

5, at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Rev. David De Weese and Rev. Bobby Smith officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at the Fortenberry Cemetery of New Hope Community.

Fortenberry was born August 26, 1933 and died at his home on Feb. 1, in Kaleva, MI. He was preceded in death by his father T.J. Fortenberry in 1981 and his mother, Mrs. Mattie Pittman Fortenberry of New Hope.

He is survived by his fiancee-ail Gail Griffin of Kaleva, MI; two sons-Avery Fortenberry of Foxworth and Aaron Fortenberry of Columbia; two daughtersDeborah Burrow of Smyrna, TN; and Dejuona McMurtry of Castallian Springs, TN. Other survivors are six grandchildren; two sisters-Jo Helon Turnage of New Hope and Ann Day of Jackson; two nieces; a nephew; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many other friends and relatives. Sebe McCain Funeral services for Sebe McCain of Marion County were held Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Turnage Chapel. Hartman-Hughes Funeral home was in charge of burial services. Interment followed at the Turnage Chapel Cemetery. Rev.

Bobby Smith officiated the services. McCain was 90 years of age when he died and he is survived by one brother-Reece McCain. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and greatnieces and nephews.
