Kinda noob, not sure how to progress (2024)

I'm a very casual player as I actually have a life and have to do adult things. Maybe 7 hours of playtime a week at most, counting hypixel wiki research.

I know my dungeon setup is really stupid (AOTD + half-Necrotic armor for a berserk main). My ability damage is higher than my melee damage but I get shredded in entrance with anything but berserker (I think it's my reforges but I have no clue). I can solo Entrance and F1 easily, F2 is tough but doable, and I have only been to F3 once as a carry and F4 countless times but whoever carried me always died except the last attempt. I got an F4 carry only to realize that my AOTD build was still better than Adaptive Blade... Budget is max 18m, and that's after I sold all of my minion products I had been storing for the past year. I have been purely grinding F1 lately just to get dungeon levels.

Main questions I have are:

If the rift dimension worth it at all?

How do I start in Crimson Isle? After the update I've maybe been there 10 times and only for a few minutes, just to explore and I get one shot by almost everything there.

What pets/talismans do I need to get ASAP?

What is the best strat for getting a decent drill?

How do I quickly level up slayers? Tied in with this with is how do I increase my damage to at least 50k non-crit with an AOTD? I see lots of people with a similar skyblock level dealing 100k+ damage non-crit.

Lots of rambling but I'm tired and hopefully you guys have some tips.

Of course it’s worth it. Obviously you get a bunch of magic power for free but you also get things like sb xp, access to good money making methods, etc.

There’s really no point at your stage of the game - generally people recommend that you don’t even TOUCH the crimson isles until you have at minimum a Midas staff, and I partly agree because you’re gonna be wasting your time in there without good gear. And there isn’t even that much content there, it’s mostly just kuudra, so there isn’t really much of a reason for you to be there.

However, you can do some dailies such as dojo or the matriarch if you choose, since they don’t require good gear.

Every talisman that you can comfortably afford. Talismans are almost never gotten for their abilities - they are almost always gotten because of magic power. Use the skyhelper discord bot and type /missing to see what talismans you should get in what order.

As for pets, there’s no real need for you to get any specific pets, the stuff you have is ok. But you should almost always use shelmets on anything for combat. Also you may want to get a legendary spirit pet for its last perk.

For what reason? There is NO point going for ANY drills before hotm 7 - they all suck. There are only 2 good drills in the game - a 655 and a divan’s drill. Every other drill is outclassed by a Pickonimbus which costs less than 1m.

I mean we can’t really say anything other than the obvious - literally just grind them. Make sure your dps isn’t garbage and that your boss times are ok.

Why non crit? There’s no reason not to get 100 crit chance. Make sure you’re not actually using the aotd ability because it’s not good - it’s only good for melee.

Get more magic power (and I mean WAY more magic power, I’d recommend at least 400)
Reforge your armour to ancient
Put full hot potato books on your weapons
Use a god pot
Get your lion pet to legendary

You need more mp from accessories. You oculd do much better with 500 mp.
